Frequently Asked Questions
-
I work with adults and groups who are navigating life transitions, grief and loss, identity exploration, stress, anxiety, depression, stagnation, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients are women in their 20s, people who feel connected to nature, and those who long to live more authentically and consciously. I work with people who are curious and open to exploration—whether that means examining patterns and choices, experimenting with new ways of being, or bringing depth, soul, and spirituality into their growth journey.

My approach is relational, experiential, and rooted in the present moment. In our sessions, you can expect warmth, curiosity, and collaboration. Depending on your needs, therapy might include somatic practices, mindfulness, exploring attachment patterns, or working with nature and horses as co-facilitators. Together, we’ll create space for you to slow down, listen inwardly, and discover new ways of being that feel more authentic and alive.

I offer both in-person and online therapy. In-person sessions take place outdoors, in my office, or at a ranch with horses. For those outside of Durango, I provide online therapy for clients located anywhere in Colorado. While virtual sessions don’t include nature or equine work directly, we can still integrate nature practices, tenets of relational horsemanship and experiential work in our time together.
-
Not at all. You don’t need any prior experience with horses to benefit from equine-assisted psychotherapy. Our work focuses on relationship-building, self-awareness, and personal growth rather than horseback riding. As part of this process, we may incorporate relational horsemanship skills in ways that support your therapeutic goals. Sessions take place on the ground, where we observe, interact, and engage with the horses in a way that deepens connection and insight.

Therapy is deeply personal, and finding the right fit is important. My approach is best suited for individuals who are open to experiential work, curious about their inner and outer worlds, and ready to engage in the process of self-discovery. If you resonate with incorporating nature into our work, are motivated to experience change, and want to explore relational patterns, we may be a great fit. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help you decide.

Yes! In addition to individual therapy, I offer group therapy, women’s circles, workshops, and community events. Some offerings are therapeutic but not considered therapy. Visit my Events page for more details on upcoming events.

I am a private-pay provider, meaning I do not accept insurance. However, I can provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement if your insurance plan offers that option. Rates vary depending on the type of session. Please visit my Rates page for more details or reach out with any questions.
